We are hiring a Head of Clinical Operations. The ideal candidate has context for human or veterinary clinical trials and is excited to ideate from first principles how to make them a smoother and more enjoyable experiences for veterinarians, pet parents and their dogs. You will lead our current Clinical Operations & Development team (three people) and spearhead its growth as we get ready for further clinical studies later this year. You will work closely with our R&D (led by Michael LaCroix-Fralish) and Computational Biology (led by Tom Roseberry) teams. This is a great role for someone with a startup-y mindset who is mission motivated by developing new medicines and wants to apply a disruptive mindset to biopharma. While previous experience as a Clinical Operations lead is not necessary, you should be prepared to manage a technical team, expert consultants, and learn the intricacies of clinical operations.

Your work may include
Leading a team; current team is three people, you will have the opportunity to grow it to ~15 people within the next 12 months.
Building the study platform from the ground up for interventional studies
Designing ways for veterinarians and pet owner to engage in studies
Creating and implementing processes to run pivotal studies to standard regulatory standards.
Creating processes to run observational studies efficiently and effectively
Executing multiple studies simultaneously
Working with Consumer and the Director of Veterinary Medicine to advertise the study
Working with Computational Biology on tools and data analytics
Identifying, recruiting and developing new clinical trials sites
Education and Work Experience
Previous exposure to clinical studies on the veterinary or human side
Understanding of the intersection of regulatory requirements and patient studies
Nice to have - specific experience of GCP and running clinical trials from the sponsor side
